Uni & A New Project
Three weeks of Nottingham down, quite a few more to go… But anyways a new project is in the works! Very very early days now but this could be be fun. Essentially it’s a modern (audio (mainly)) podcast directory, designed for discovering and exploring new content. Lots of bells and whistles involved… so ‘watch this space’!

I’ve been in north China for the past week (beijing, datong, pingyao) with Joe and Garrood. and have loads of awesome photos. Will post in the next few days when I have proper wifi. Currently waiting for the night train to pingyao.

Ubuntu - get your act together!
I like Linux, I like Ubuntu. I’ve used Ubuntu on servers and the odd low power laptop for years now and with little hiccups. I’ve almost come to trust it, that is until this week.
We’ve got an old Dell desktop at home (XP generation so ~ 8 years), runs Win 7 near perfectly out the box. It’s been doing so for while now and is starting to get a bit slugish - so I thought...

Very good TV show, definitely recommend this. Luckily I’ve got 3 more seasons to go.

And Now Broken Completely
I had to make a lot of changes to DNS late last night to facilitate this server move, unfortunately that involved accidently overwriting the record for my blog… doh!
This was only my blog and no-one else’s DNS that I host was affected (a la specialtones.com, who will be listening). Should all be back up in 1 to 48 hours depending on your connection. Toodle pip…
Naked Blogging
No, not like that! All resources (style sheets, images and the like) that are hosted on my servers are down for the next day or so, this means that my blog is without styling or images (“naked”).
So sit back and enjoy how semantic my HTML is…

It's been a while
It has indeed, not much is happening over here. I’m working at the moment and should probably go to bed as it starts all over again in the morning.
On the nerdier side of things I’ve just got a solid state drive and more ram, my computer is now disgustingly fast. That + lion is awesome, photo processing is much much more fun.
Also, iTunes U is cool, and you should look at my photos.

Spotify Premium
Been using spotify for a long time, but recently wanted to try premium (I got an iPhone). If anyone’s wondering whether to get it, it is awesome. Having the spotify catalogue mobile is great, just need to watch my data usage now…
Also looking into the spotify api’s (premium only) might make something cool

Tumblr Theming Is Annoying
Just putting the theme up atm, may still have some Lorem Ipsums around (quick job).
What is really annoying me is that while finishing it up in the ‘Tumblr customisation thingy’ it puts in a grey background if no body bg is defined (removed with body {background:#fff;})
Why give us a dark grey background?
